The amazing LOS CALCHAKIS will be played on rare (in North America) vinyl. They have aptly been called “The Beatles of South America” because their '60s record sales in their native lands rivaled the sale of the Lads in North America. You will hear the flutes and pipes of the High Andes, along with native derivations of European harps and string instruments. The sound is like no other on earth and you can feel the rarefied high peaks air of these “People of the Clouds” when listening to this music.
The event is free (from 7 to 8 pm); tea and choice confections will be served.
