GERM on ZOOM (May 27, 2020)

Tonight's Golden Era Record Music Program will return briefly to a great alto saxophone artist who was not shown last week to the outer limit of his talent: JOHNNY HODGES, playing BILLY STRAYHORN'S last composition, BLOOD COUNT. Listen and marvel!

We have some great GIRL SINGERS from the early part of the GOLDEN ERA, and the rarely heard ORIGINAL VERSION of the 1962 hit TELSTAR. Guess who is playing!

ALBERT KING and his guitar band will play his original blues.

AND we will hear how FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN saved the symphonic form from extinction and opened the door for late MOZART, BEETHOVEN and GUSTAV MAHLER!

Great stuff for a sultry evening!

We send out a link for the Zoom meeting every Wednesday by email! Please contact us and let us know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.

See you all at 7 pm TONIGHT!
