GERM on ZOOM (Aug 26, 2020)

If you are the sort of person that HUNGERS for the new, the strange, the astonishing music you DID NOT KNOW, then Golden Era Recorded Music project is for you! It's all about the great vinyl LPs from 1948 to 1988. We play LPs on a classic WELL-TEMPERED turntable direct to ZOOM via computer!

Tonight we hear a BIG overture for orchestra from the distaff side of the species, DAME ETHYL SMYTH. No man ever beat this one for drama, power and soaring melody!

Two LPs by the great FATS WALLER will show his unique jazz vocalizations AND his great STRIDE PIANO style.

We will take a SUMMER EVENING STROLL with GUSTAV MAHLER and hear a smitten swain serenading his sweetheart with GUITAR and MANDOLIN. This is Mahler kicking up his heels after the TERROR of his SIXTH SYMPHONY.

A tuneful fun late summer show. DON'T MISS IT!

We send out a link for the Zoom meeting every Wednesday by email! Please contact us and let us know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.

See you all at 7 pm TONIGHT!
