GERM on ZOOM (Sept 9, 2020)

If you are the sort of person that HUNGERS for the new, the strange, the astonishing music you MAY NOT KNOW, then the Golden Era Recorded Music project is for you! It's all about the great vinyl from 1948 to 1988. We play LPs on a classic WELL-TEMPERED turntable direct to ZOOM via computer!

I am in the last phase of moving into my NEW LISTENING PLACE and am sorting boxes of LPs onto the correct shelves. Many LPs are coming to light for the first time, as well as records that I have not seen for ages. Tonight we will be sampling from this treasure-trove and the likes of JOHN WILLIAMS and JULIAN BREAM, BUFFY SAINT MARIE, DAVID AMRAM, ELLA FITZGERALD, BUDDY TERRY, ART ROSENBAUM and his MOUNTAIN BANJO

. . . . and a real treasure, SIBELIUS SYMPHONY 6 with ANTHONY COLLINS conducting in KINGSWAY HALL, K. E. WILKINSON recording in 1952 mono. Hear this and marvel!

We send out a link for the Zoom meeting every Wednesday by email! Please contact us and let us know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.

See you all at 7 pm TONIGHT!
