GERM on ZOOM: June 23, 2021

At our GOLDEN ERA RECORDED MUSIC Project every Wednesday night, we explore together LP RECORDS from every corner of the world, 1948 to 1988.

Tonight we will start with a few more JUICY BITS from DAS RHEINGOLD, the first opera in WAGNER'S RING of the NIBELUNGEN. Stunning music and effects!

We will hear the modern piano at its most magnificent in RACHMANINOFF'S 3rd piano concerto (1st movement) and the BOY WONDER pianist VAN CLIBURN.

(and I will read the most shocking self-criticism by Sergei!)

DAVE BRUBECK'S earliest music-making was strongly influenced by his college teacher DARIUS MILHAUD. We will listen to some very early DAVE and then . . .

LA CREATION DU MONDE by Milhaud. You will hear the cross-pollination!

We send out a link for the Zoom meeting every Wednesday by email! Please contact us and let us know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.

See you all at 7 pm TONIGHT!
